Port transshipment of gypsum is in many ways similar to the transshipment of other dry  building mixtures. The material itself and its derivatives (knauf, putties, plasters) are extremely sensitive to moisture changes. Therefore, during transshipment and long-term storage of powdered gypsum mixtures, the water content in them should not exceed 0.7 - 0.8%, and for dried gypsum chips - 0.5%.

Fast and gentle cargo handling

 
Loading of the packed gypsum is carried out at berths № 22 and № 18. Their maximum passage depth (near the edge) is 10.9 m, and the serviced length is 200 m. Transshipment of gypsum in big bags is carried out directly to/from the body of the tractor using one of three portal cranes, and the movement of palletized and packed in big bags gypsum mixtures on the territory of the cargo area is carried out by forklifts.
 
In addition to unloading onto vehicles, "TTG Forward" carries out transshipment of gypsum onto gondola cars. Line 10 runs from the «Chornomorsk-Port» station and is adjacent to an open warehouse with an area of ​​12,250 sq.m., where cargo is accepted/dispatched in bags or on pallets, as well as its storage.
